Here is all the information you need to prepare for Camp.
About The Camp for The Work
For over 10 years, every summer, a group of facilitators of The Work invites you to join them in community to do self-inquiry together. This gathering of people both new and experienced in The Work brings wisdom, love and joy to all who attend this event together in nature.
The camp gives you lots of opportunities to question your stressful thoughts, undo your old stories and release your outdated belief systems, you learn to use inquiry to end your suffering and discover who you are without your story.
The camp is also a time for building community and connection - we are outdoors for the whole event, you can choose to camp amongst the tall old trees or some participants choose to stay in hotel or other accommodations nearby.
We will offer both whole group and partnering sessions. This event is an experience to connect to nature, both internal and external.
The camp also includes optional music and dance, guided yoga and The Morning Walk.
We love to say we sit around the fire to build community, however there are often burn bans in State Parks during the summer months and dry seasons. This is very likely in the summer months.
Information can be found on the Washington State Parks website:www.parks.wa.gov

The Work is a simple process, developed and taught by a Californian woman, Byron Katie, since her awakening in 1987.
It is a series of 4 questions that can be used to address any situation in your life that is frustrating, stressful or painful. It is a way to find peace with whatever is happening in your life.
The Work can be applied to any upsetting situation, regardless of intensity. You can use it for everyday annoyances with children, spouses, bosses, parents or co-workers. Or you can use The Work to deal with the big crises in your life such as divorce, death of a loved one, broken relationships, serious health issues or traumas from abuse or violence. The Work is helpful regardless of the nature of the situation that is causing stress.
About The Work of Byron Katie
Peace comes by invitation, the invitation from yourself, and that's your goal, to welcome the inquiry.
The great spiritual texts give you the what - what it means to be free.
The Work is the how.
It gives you a direct entrance into the awakened mind. some people spend years trying to figure out what's the matter with them.
When you come to The Work, you don't have to figure it out. You already know what's the matter with you: you're believing your stressful thoughts.
You don't even have to know which thought. You just pick the first one that occurs, and that is what's the matter with you.
And when you question your thoughts, the thing that was the matter with you begins to show up as nothing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I bring my pet?
Maybe... if your dog is extremely well-behaved, will not bark, will rest quietly during sessions, will not steal food, is okay to be kept on a leash (as per Millersylvania State Park regulations) and you will be with them for 100% of the time and be sure to clean up after them, you may be able to bring your pet. However, you must check with camp hosts first, as if there is more than one animal at camp this can lead to a problem. Also be aware that although your dog maybe very friendly, not everyone sees dogs the way you do and please be respectful of others in that regard.
Can I drive and bring my car?
Yes. We have up to 20 parking spots for all campers at the campsite. You are able to park easily. If are staying off site and need to park there is a $10 parking fee per day or you may wish to purchase a Washington State Park Discover Pass for $30 which is valid for one year.
Do you offer carshare / ride connections?

What if I need to cancel?
